Field visit to Roma women in Odesa: dignity kits, outreach support, and face-to-face assistance.

Our team continues its mission to provide support for Roma women, and recently we carried out another visit to Roma communities living in Odesa to help those facing difficult life circumstances.

During the visit, we not only provided assistance but also took time to listen and understand the real needs of local women. We discussed their everyday challenges and introduced the option of receiving free legal and psychological support.

A key part of this visit was delivering “Dignity Kits”— thoughtfully prepared packages with essential items to support women in their day-to-day lives.

More than that, we aimed to offer kind words and emotional support. Many women opened up and shared their personal stories, finding strength in being heard and seen.

This visit was part of the project “Sustainable Development and Self-Realization Program for Roma Women, Teens, and Children of Odesa region”, supported by HIAS and implemented in partnership with the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA).
