Empowerment and Awareness Session for Roma Women and Girls in Berezivka

We recently visited the Roma community in Berezivka, Odesa region, to host an important awareness and awareness session event for Roma women and girls.

Here’s what happened during the event:

• Our lawyer and psychologist led interactive sessions on two key topics:

“Building Self-Esteem, Health & Stress Resilience” and

“Understanding Gender-Based Violence: Prevention and Response.”

• Participants received one-on-one psychological and legal consultations on issues that matter most to them.

• We also distributed Dignity Kits tailored to support women facing tough life situations.

We’re committed to creating a safe and supportive space where every woman can feel respected, valued, and empowered.

The event was held as part of the “Sustainable Development and Self-Realization Program for Roma Women, Teens, and Children in Odesa Region”, supported by HIAS in partnership with the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA).
