Trainer Illia Yurchenko sharing tools for building effective presentations

Effective presentation: tell. show. convince.

Recently, we held a training focused on developing public speaking skills. The goal? To help participants share their ideas in a way that gets them heard — and accepted. Because an effective presentation is not just about content, but also delivery and emotional impact.

🔹 Tell:

We explored storytelling, structure, and how to keep an audience engaged.

🔹 Show:

Designing slides that are clear and visually helpful. We talked about layout, fonts, colors, and flow.

🔹 Convince:

How to use voice, gestures, and eye contact to truly persuade — not just inform.

Practice was the heart of the training. Participants wrote intros, built slides, and performed. Confidence and skill grew with each attempt.

Big thanks to trainer Illia Yurchenko for the insight and energy, and to all attendees for their passion and engagement.

The event was supported by the European Endowment for Democracy (EED).
